The CCOTS Choir (The Community Choir of Oxhill, Tysoe and Shenington) meets every Wednesday during school term time at Shenington School from 7.45pm until 9.15pm. Our first rehearsal in 2024 is on Wednesday January 10th. Shenington School is located in Stocking Lane, Shenington, OX15 6NF.

There are no auditions and a sense of humour and a willingness to learn some fun and beautiful music are the only requirements. We have singers who have never sung in a choir before along with more experienced singers. We sing in four parts: soprano, alto, tenor and bass. Anna our conductor will always guide you if you are unsure which voice part you are.

We sing a range of music from light classical to musicals and contemporary songs. All music is provided and we sing from the music at performances  so there is no need to learn the words to each song. The first two rehearsals are free. Once you have had your two free rehearsals we charge fees which can be paid by term or weekly. The fees have been kept low as the community ethos is important to us.

We support local charity events and hold one or two of our own concerts a year although there is no obligation to perform in these.

We have up to thirty members rehearsing each week but we would love to have some more members and so please come along on a Wednesday evening, you will be most welcome. If you would like to email Anna first please do: ccotswild@hotmail.com
